One of my closest friends, Colleen, is expecting. Actually, she is expecting her little one at the end of this month! I had been wanting to do a very romantic, bohemian maternity shoot and she is always game for anything that I have in mind - which is very nice! 

We met early on a dreary Sunday morning at Faust Park in Chesterfield, Missouri. There is a great field there with some nice tree backdrops, some tall wildflowers and just an overall natural, woodsy setting. I busted out my white sheet that she wrapped around her and placed a floral wreath that I made on top of her head. 

Once it started pouring, we moved under a large tree. Then it started thundering and we saw lightning. Not real smart to stay under that tree but, we did until we were done! And yes, in some of the images you can actually see the rain coming down - it really was coming down that hard.

I am really happy with the way that the images turned out - exactly how I envisioned that they would look!
